Denmark Vaccines

OK I have now read this from multiple people and it needs to be addressed…

The argument goes that if we would had acted like the Danes and didn’t have anti-science people refusing the vaccination then we wouldn’t need mandates and would be back to normal just like them (no rules or regulations).  Denmark touts the amazing statistic that 99% of people over 50 have been vaccinated and 86% of all eligible (age 12+) have also received at least 1 dose.  That sounds impressive.  Especially 99% – that almost sounds spooky.  I mean you only see that high of percentage in the election results of authoritarian dictators.  But let us assume it is true. This is what I could find with a quick search (from September 10 but notice that at the time of this article 83% was the number good enough for Denmark to declare the epidemic under control and lifted all restrictions).

Now the median age in Denmark is 41.1 compared to 37.4 in the United States. While it’s difficult to find how many people in both countries are over 50 it’s clear Denmark has an older population and thus a higher percentage of the population is over 50 compared to the United States.  Why does this matter?  Logic and Math.

Since Denmark has a 99% vaccination rate in those over 50 and that portion of the population is relatively (to the US) high, what percentage of unvaccinated in the 12-49 range would it take to drop the total to 86% overall?  Logic tells us that there are many more unvaccinated in the under 50 age group to bring that number down 13 points.  If someone has the time to dig up the specific numbers we can prove this mathematically.

Why is this significant?  The fact is that many working age Danes (or those soon entering the workforce) must be unvaccinated yet the policies of that government were to lift all restrictions.

Juxtapose that to our rising totalitarian fascist government.  80% have received 1 does in the US.  That’s not far off from the 80%, 83%, sometimes 86% percent reported by Denmark 2 months ago. And because of the population distribution of vaccines by age in the US – we most definitely have a higher percentage of our working population vaccinated relative to Denmark.  Yet we are forcing businesses to  become the enforcement arm of the government through mandates; compliance or business destroying fines.  Forcing individual to make the incredibly tough choice of a job or their deeply held principles.

Ask yourself how and why two governments looking at the same numbers can go in opposite directions?  Why would the US target employees when we certainly have a higher percentage of that population than Denmark who they praise?

The left likes to cry out about losing our democracy.  I challenge you to ask them what that word even means to them.  I certainly didn’t elect the OSHA inspector or Dr. Fauci. If you want to face, fight, and oppose deep systemic problems we’ve got an elephant to eat in our national government.  The problem is not losing “democracy.”  That’s been around since Plato.  What they fear is the loss of power.

What makes this country unique is not democracy.  It is unique (and remains that way) in the founding of individual freedom. That is: It wanted to preserve liberty with strict limits on government.  They knew that power grows and that was the purpose of the Constitution.

Imagine the colonies response if the King had ordered a medical procedure on all the people.
